This ensemble is part of the Brussels Muzieque platform, a versatile collaborative music platform based in the capital of Europe, which works with artists carefully selected from international prize winners, including participants of the esteemed Queen Elisabeth competition, as well as concertmasters and soloists from renowned Belgian and European orchestras.

The ensemble operates as a collective, showcasing various formations such as trios, quintets, and even larger ensembles. In its quartet formation, the group features accomplished musicians who excel in both classical and jazz music. Oene van Geel, an award-winning jazz violinist, infuses the ensemble with his distinct style and approach. Eduardo Tonietto, a solo cellist and artistic director of Brussels Muzieque, contributes his exceptional skills and his Brazilian music heritage to the ensemble's composition. Anton Jakimenko brings forth his own influences from both the classical and jazz genres. Sarah Oates, concertmaster of the Ballet Orchestra Amsterdam. In the realm of high classical violin playing, elevates the music with her exceptional expressiveness and virtuosity.

Opera meets Jazz with 
MIKE DEL FERRO

Opera meets Jazz is an fusion of jazz with the beloved Italian Belcanto and other repertoire: Neapolitan songs and famous arias. Performed by jazz pianist Mike del Ferro and the Chamber Jazz Consort. Originaly arranged for the Grammy winning Metropole Orchestra with jazz pianist Mike del Ferro and vocalist Claron McFadden.

 

Mike del Ferro is an internationally renowned, enormously versatile pianist. With appearances so far in 116 countries throughout the world, his performances vary from solo recitals to crossovers with traditional music, the latter taking him all over the world. 

He has collaborated with great musicians such as Toots Thielemans, Branford Marsalis, Jack DeJohnette, Randy Brecker, Oscar Castro Neves, Deborah Brown, Erik Truffaz, Jorge Rossy, Scott Hamilton and Richard Galliano.
