JILL JESCHEK

 

German flutist, holds the position of solo piccolo in Brussels Philharmonic since 2017. Jill has played with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, SWR Symphonieorchester Stuttgart, Orchester der Musikalischer Kömodie Leipzig and Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie. This summer, she performed with the acclaimed Lucerne Festival Orchestra for the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.

EMMA WAUTERS

 

Belgian harpist, is a regular guest at Brussels Philharmonic, Opera La Monnaie, Flanders Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonieorchester Aachen. Emma regularly performs chamber music at venues such as Bozar, Concertgebouw Brugge, De Bijloke & Amuz. She was the assistant harp teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2014-17) and currently holds teaching positions at the Municipal Conservatory of Brugge and the Art Academy of Torhout.

DANIEL MOUREK

 

Czech clarinetist, holds the position of solo clarinet in the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. Daniel has played with the Orchestre de la Radio France, Basel Symphonic Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, United Nations Orchestra, Opéra de Toulon, Chamber Orchestra of Prague and Treplice Philharmonic. He is winner of several international prizes, including the Concours Int. Debussy in Paris, Concours Int. Jaques Lancelot in Rouen & Int. Prize Concertino in Prague.

KAREL STEYLAERTS

 

Belgian cellist, holds the position of principal cello in Brussels Philharmonic. Prior to that, he was also the principal cello of the orchestra Beethoven Academie of Antwerp. In 1990, Karel was a prize winner of the Tenuto Competition. With his Trio Fenix he has been performing in several international festivals. Karel also holds a teaching position at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. He plays on a Lorenzo Ventapane cello, made in Naples in 1834.

ANGELINA ABADJIEVA

 

Bulgarian violinist, held the position of concert master at the Cologne WDR Radio Orchestra before dedicating herself entirely to a solo career. Angelina is First Prize winner of international competitions such as Gieseking (Germany) and the Kocian Violin Competition (Czech Republic). She was also a laureate at the Niccolo Paganini International Competition in Italy. Angelina has performed as a soloist in Germany, Italy, England, Russia, Czech Republic, Korea & Bulgaria.

MIHAI COCEA


Romanian violist, holds the position of principal viola in Brussels Philharmonic; he is also the former principal viola of the St. Gallen Sinfonieorchester in Switzerland.
Mihai is winner of the Watson Forbes Int. Viola Competition, Grand Prize of the Icon Arts in Breaza, 2nd prize Delius Competition London; he was also a finalist of the Yuri Bashmet Viola Competition. He has performed as soloist with the orchestras Nova Russia, St Andrews Youth Ochestra, Bristol Metropolitan Ochestra & Moscow Soloists.

ANTON SKAKUN

 

Ukrainian violinist, holds a position in the 1st violins in Brussels Philharmonic. Anton has played with Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Orchestre de chambre de Fribourg. As a soloist, he played with Orchestre de Chambre de Fribourg, Sydney Conservatory Orchestra, Menuhin Academy soloists, and several orchestras in Ukraine. In 2011, he shared the stage with the world famous violinist Maxim Vengerov, performing next to him the second violin solo part of the concerto for two violins and orchestra by J. S. Bach; Anton was also Vengerov's pupil.

EURYDICE NOVAK

 

French‐Greek soprano, is prize winner of several national and international competitions such as Les Moments Musicaux du Tarn Competition, Bellan Competition and laureate of the George Enesco Competition in Paris. Eurydice has performed as a soloist at Festival de Lanvellec, Festival 'Enghien, Nancyphonies, Grand Foyer de La Monnaie, Opera Gent, Bozar, Chapelle Royale de Versailles. Impassioned by both music and poetry, Eurydice also champions the genre of Lied and French artsong within the Duo Sequana that she forms with pianist Livia Naas.

MONIKA MŁYNARCZYK

 

Polish violist, holds a position in the orchestra of La Monnaie/De Munt and in  the Chamber Orchestra of The National Forum of Music in Poland. Monika has played with Luxembourg Philharmonic, Antverp Symphony Orchestra and also as a co-principal in Opera of Florence. As a chamber musician she took part in festivals as: Encuentro de Santander, Pablo Casals Festival, Festival Musiq'3 & Festival Midis-Minimes.

JULITA FASSEVA

 

Bulgarian bassist, holds a position in Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. She is also a regular guest at Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, National Orchestra of Belgium, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserlautern, "Les Dissonances" - Paris. Julita also is developing a composer career; she will have soon her work recorded in an album dedicated to Bulgarian composers. She is founder of the Arbanassi Summer Music, a chamber music festival in Bulgaria.

DANIELA BECERRA

 

Venezuelan violinist, holds the position of 2nd soloist of the second violins in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège. Daniela has played as guest musician in Opera La Monnaie, Orchestre Nationale de Lille, Flanders Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. She has performed as soloist with Simon Bolivar Symphonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Falcón and Symphony Orchestra of Guárico. Daniela is also a former member of the Simón Bolivar Symphonic Orchestra, where she worked for years under chief conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

EDUARDO TONIETTO

 

Brazilian cellist, is a regular guest player in Brussels Philharmonic. He has played with Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Opera of Florence), La Monnaie (Opera of Brussels), Chamber Orch. of the National Forum of Music (Poland); as guest principal cello he played also with Sinfonietta Cracovia and Brussels Chamber Orchestra. He gave cello masterclasses in UniRio (University of Rio de Janeiro). Eduardo is also the creator and organizer of Brussels Muzieque.

ELINE PAUWELS

 

Belgian violinist, holds a position in the 2nd violins of Brussels Philharmonic. Eline is also a member of Sinfonia Rotterdam and of the European Union Chamber Orchestra, with which she has also performed as soloist, and she played as guest musician in Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and in Het Gelders Orkest. As a chamber musician, she is member of the Kwartz string quartet and was awarded the prize of Klassiek Centraal magazine for recording a CD with chamber music composed by Robert Groslot.

MAÉVA LAROQUE

 

French violinist, holds the position of 2nd soloist in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège. Maéva has played with Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Bordeaux National Orchestra, Lyon Opera House; she was also a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. As a chamber musician, she already took part in the Arbanassi Summer Music in Bulgaria, Torroella di Montgri Festival in Spain, BWD12 Chamber Music Festival, Aix-en-Provence Festival, Cordes en Ballade and Soirée du Castellet in France. As a member of the Kantu trio, she collaborates with Guy Danel and the Prazak Quartet.

LUBKA LINGORSKA

 

Bulgarian violinist, holds a position in the orchestra of La Monnaie/De Munt, the opera of Brussels. Next to her career as an orchestra musician, Lubka is also a very active chamber musician, taking part in several festivals and productions. After graduating from the conservatory of Sofia in the class of Ginka Gitchkova, she came to Belgium where she graduated in the class of Philippe Koch in the conservatory of Mons.
