Oene van Geel, an award-winning jazz violinist and composer, is known for his genre-defying creativity and energetic presence on stage. His imaginative approach brings a colorful, adventurous spirit to the ensemble’s sound. Eduardo Tonietto, a distinguished Brazilian cellist and artistic director of Brussels Muzieque, grounds the trio with his deep classical mastery while infusing it with rhythmic vitality and the rich musical traditions of his heritage. Anton Jakimenko, clarinetist and artistic director of the Chamber Jazz Consort, completes the group with his lyrical, warm clarinet voice, blending classical precision with jazz improvisation and an unmistakable personal style.

The trio’s musical journey is deeply collaborative and rooted in a spirit of exploration. Over the past seasons, Chamber Jazz Consort has had the privilege of collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as bassist Lars Danielsson and pianist Aaron Parks. These collaborations have greatly enriched the ensemble’s musical palette, allowing the trio to engage in profound musical dialogues that further blur the lines between composition and improvisation, classical refinement and jazz spontaneity.

Whether performing original compositions, reimagined jazz standards, or newly arranged classical works, the Chamber Jazz Consort Trio is characterized by seamless interplay, expressive depth, and an elegant balance between structure and freedom. Their performances invite listeners into a sound world where technical mastery, emotional storytelling, and creative risk-taking come together in an unforgettable experience.
